Espoo is featured in Wired UK's European top startup hubs as part of the Helsinki region. Annually, Wired lists the hottest startups from each hub.
Wired calls Espoo a "major tech hub" and includes the following Espoo-based startups in the list:
- IQM creates quantum computing hardware through the use of superconductor technology.
- Infinited Fibre turns textile waste and other rubbish into new textile fibres which feel and look like cotton.
- Enfuce specialises in next-level card issuing and payment processing services.
- Gubbe wants to form lasting relationships between the elderly and trained young people.
