  • Quantum computers: Espoo is home to Finland's two quantum computers, built by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and IQM.

  • Micronova: A multi-user semiconductor R&D piloting environment and the site of the largest cleanroom in the Nordics

Kvanttinova

One of Europe's major semiconductor hubs in the future

Kvanttinova is an industry-driven piloting and R&D facility for quantum technology and microelectronics in Espoo, Finland. The unique facility contains shared-use piloting facilities, company-specific labs, cleanrooms, and offices. 

Kvanttinova focuses on pre-commercial development and offers R&D pilot lines for scaling up. It is a joint initiative by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, the City of Espoo, Aalto University, and the semiconductor industry group of Technology Industries of Finland.
