Expand to the US with the Gateway to US initiative

Enter Espoo calls all the Espoo-based companies interested in the US market to join the new Gateway to US initiative. With the City of Espoo and Business Finland, Enter Espoo offers companies help and advice in finding business opportunities in the US.

To whom is Gateway to US?

Gateway to US targets companies operating, for example, in the following areas: defence and space, communication (5G/6G), ICT, quantum, AI and industrial metaverse, XR/VR, energy, arctic logistics, and production. In addition, it is beneficial if your company has some of the following plans and capabilities in place: unique value proposition/product and service solution for defined ideal end users/user groups; spearhead offering, tech sector and readiness; competitive landscape and market; current operations, customers and experience in the US market; and available resources to expand.

What is Gateway to US?

Gateway to US is a joint two-year program the City of Espoo has started with Team Finland, Confederation of Finnish Industries, and the six biggest cities in Finland. The objective is to leverage the opportunities that Finland's F35 aircraft purchase opens through further commercial discussions with Lockheed Martin and its industry ecosystem. The project's contact person, Industrial Counselor Martti Wallin, is based in Washington DC. Wallin will help interested Espoo-based companies to find opportunities and start negotiations with potential clients, cooperation partners, and investors.
