Partners & Stakeholders
In Espoo, tourism is developed in co-operation with partners and stakeholders at both the national and municipal levels.
Espoo belongs to Visit Finland's two major regions; Coat and Archipelago and the Helsinki metropolitan area and is active in both co-development groups. Visit Espoo is also a member of the Business Events working group under the Finland Convention Bureau together with other Finnish congress cities.
Espoo has municipal co-operation agreements in tourism marketing with the municipalities of Vihti, Kirkkonummi, and Kauniainen. Cooperation with Helsinki is also close, e.g. coordination of regional tourist information. Visit Espoo is part of the #Helsingintekijät network.

- is active in the Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Council’s tourism working group, e.g. to advance regional development issues.
- represents the city of Espoo and local tourism industry in the project group of the Uusimaa Recreation Area Association (Uudenmaan virkitysalueyhdistys), of which the city of Espoo is a member together with 18 municipalities in other provinces. The purpose of the association is to secure and develop residents’ opportunities for recreation, outdoor activities, and nature sports.
Networks
Visit Espoo is a member of several national and international organizations and networks that promote the activities and exchange of information in the tourism, conference, and congress sector, conduct research in the field and support the development of our own expertise.
International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA)
ICCA conducts international congress statistics and maintains a database of international congresses and meetings. Visit Espoo is also active in ICCA's Scandinavian Chapter, which meets regularly and shares information and experiences about industry developments and trends.
Alliance of Brain Cities (ABC)
ABC is an international collaboration aiming to develop knowledge about the attraction and value creation of scientific conferences. Visit Espoo is a co-founding member of the alliance, counting Aarhus in Denmark, Bergen in Norway, Espoo in Finland and Uppsala in Sweden. All four cities share their status as non-capital and are home to leading universities.
Finnish Association of Tourism Organisations - Suoma ry
Suoma ry acts as a cooperation body of regional tourism organizations and as an advocacy organization for the national tourism industry.
Congress Network Finland (CNF ry)
CNF ry is a Finnish organization within the meeting industry. Its goal is to advance and improve member’s professional knowledge and widen their network possibilities, develop research within the industry, share information and act as a lobbyist with other actors.
