Sisu Factory Brings Startups to Finland
Sisu Factory offers tailored services, designed to attract, and support international startups interested in moving to Finland, a joint effort from the cities of Espoo, Helsinki, and Vantaa, co-funded by the EU. Recently, Sisu Factory Accelerator (Summer 2024 edition) welcomed 18 innovative startups to Finland, immersing them in the Finnish business culture and startup ecosystem.
Accelerator Program Highlights
The accelerator kicked off with a series of online sessions led by Sisu Factory and Business Finland, offering valuable insights into the Finnish market and business practices. The program culminated in an intense week in Finland, where participants pitched their ideas in a sauna and attended masterclasses on doing business in Finland. A highlight of the program was the investor meetup, where startups had just one minute to pitch their ideas to an audience of around 10 eager investors. This high-energy event created a thrilling atmosphere, providing startups with a unique opportunity to make a lasting impression and network. The week also included a tour in the heart of Espoo innovation ecosystem, visiting hubs such as AGrid, Aalto Startup Center, and Startup Sauna.
Arctic15 and Beyond
The week concluded at Arctic15, a premier startup event where participants showcased their ventures and networked with industry leaders. This experience has set a strong foundation for these startups as they consider establishing a presence in Finland.
