Europe's first 50-qubit quantum computer was launched in Espoo, Finland, on 4 March 2025. The 50-qubit quantum computer, VTT Q50, was developed and launched by VTT and IQM Quantum Computers, and the new quantum computer is now available for research and business use.

The new machine is Finland's third quantum computer, each built by VTT and IQM. Launching the 50-qubit quantum computer strengthens Finland's position as one of the leaders in the field and demonstrates the globally leading quantum expertise found in Espoo's innovation community.

The new quantum computer is immediately open to companies, university researchers, and research institutes through the VTT QC quantum computing service.
