Knights of Nordics matches deep tech startups with investors

Share

Enter Espoo had the pleasure of organising its annual premier event, Knights of Nordics, at Lucy in the Sky, Castrén & Snellman, the House of Nobility, and a Slush side event on 18–20 November, 2024. Knights of Nordics is about matching startups with the right investors while building trust and friendships.

The event was co-hosted by Family Office Alliance and Castrén & Snellman. Partners included VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, OP Uusimaa, Finnish AI Region (FAIR EDIH), and EriCa Green Chemistry Park.

In 2024, as in previous years, Knights of Nordics brought together top startups and international investors. The event kicked off with investor networking at Lucy in the Sky, followed by a morning session at Castrén & Snellman, and culminated in the main matchmaking event at the historic House of Nobility. New this year, Knights of Nordics also hosted a Dual-Use Curious event with VTT on the first day of Slush.

The three-day event showcased deep tech startups. This year's startups were from the fields of:

  • Bio & Circular Economy
  • ICT & New Space
  • Cleantech & Energy
  • Quantum & Semiconductors

You can get to know the Knights of Nordics startups here.

From sixty applications, twenty-eight exceptional startups earned their spot at our 12th annual Knights of Nordics. Of these, twenty-two call Espoo home, showcasing the innovation hub of the Nordics. The chosen startups had a chance to engage with investors during one-on-one sessions and mingling at the House of Nobility.

The event brought together almost two hundred participants from twenty countries.

For many international investors, joining the event is already a tradition. In addition to meeting old friends, we're delighted to make many new ones every year.

"This exclusive event by the Espoon kaupunki - Esbo stad - City of Espoo and Enter Espoo is always a gem of SLUSH week. In its 12th edition, some of the world’s leading investors were matched with the most innovative Nordic companies at Helsinki’s House of Nobility. Co-hosting this event was an honor! Hats off to pioneers Jaana Tuomi and Claude Finckenberg, whose work has significantly driven Espoo’s and Finland’s growth. They both deserve a national medal of merit!"
