EriCa Green Chemistry Park is set to open in Espoo in 2025, serving as Finland's hub for green chemistry innovation. EriCa is part of the Green Line competence centre for green chemistry, circular economy, and cleantech.

Set to open in Espoo in autumn 2025, EriCa Green Chemistry Park will be Finland's leading hub for green chemistry innovation and part of Green Line, Finland's leading competence centre for green chemistry, circular economy, and cleantech, located along the western part of the Helsinki-Espoo metro line.

EriCa will offer state-of-the-art facilities and a vibrant community for green chemistry companies, researchers, and experts. Located in one of Europe's leading innovation cities, EriCa aims to foster sustainable development through collaboration among startups, established industry players, R&D institutions, and educational organisations.

A platform for sustainable growth and collaboration

EriCa will feature a range of flexible workspaces, fully equipped labs, and offices available on a project or subscription basis. EriCa's primary tenant, Kemira, will operate an on-site research and development centre, creating opportunities for innovation partnerships. Beyond the green chemistry sector, EriCa welcomes startups offering digital solutions, business developers, and investors, providing a collaborative environment to drive sustainable solutions.

Crazy Town, a coworking and ecosystem development pioneer, has been chosen as the operator of EriCa. The company will give its Finland-wide network of over 400 businesses access to Espoo's innovation ecosystem. Crazy Town plans to host events, hackathons, and other community-building activities, offering members opportunities to connect and grow.

Crazy Town found a reliable partner in Enter Espoo

Toni Pienonen, Partner at Crazy Town, highlights the support from Enter Espoo and the City of Espoo as pivotal for getting things started in Espoo.

Espoo will strengthen its status as a leader in deep tech innovation through EriCa. Home to Aalto University and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, almost fifty per cent of the Helsinki Stock Exchange turnover, and Europe's leading R&D hubs like Green Line and Kvanttinova, Espoo offers the perfect ecosystem for collaboration.

Applications to join EriCa are now open, offering individuals and teams a chance to shape the future of sustainable innovation.
