VTT is part of ECOtronics, a new Finnish sustainable electronics consortium. The project creates sustainable electronics from bio-materials and printed processes and looks to renew Finland's electronics and optics industry.

Eight companies, including GE Healthcare and Paptic, have taken part in the project to find new solutions for sustainable electronics. ECOtronics is funded by Business Finland.
